Easter butter lamb. I wish I'd had one of these at every Easter dinner, but I just found out about this Polish tradition when a co-worker posted a photo of one on her Facebook page. This is a mini one, which I sculpted from butter and then covered with butter curls made with a grater and curled with a paper clip. The eyes and nostrils are cloves; the greenery is mint from the garden and forsythia blossoms and the plate is Portmeiron, which my brother first encountered in England and introduced to the family. I got this one at TJ Maxx.
Wow, Mary - beautiful: creative & pretty & good to eat!

ReplyDeleteJust perfect! You are a clever one!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dominique!
ReplyDeleteI love the creativeness of using butter like that. Maybe one can be made for every holiday excluding July 4th...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Andre. I think one could be made for July 4th too, even though it would melt quickly.
