27th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast

Rhonda Anderson Gordon and The Rev. Carlos Anderson. Rhonda gave a moving and heartfelt speech about her late mother, Norma Jean Anderson, a pillar of the community in whose name an award is now given. The great sixth grade teacher Roger Wallace was the recipient this year, an apt choice!

Theresa Cooper-Gordon and Rhonda. Theresa was an organizer of the breakfast, an Amherst institution. Besides Rhonda's speech, there was a classic speech by the legendary anti-war activist Frances Crowe, about what she thinks MKL would focus on today and a very good speech by state Sen. Stan Rosenberg.

Northwestern District Attorney Dave Sullivan and Amherst Police Chief Scott Livingstone served breakfast.

Shutterbug Reynolds Winslow took photos.
