Snow day

First snow day of the season today.

The snow turned to rain and by the time I went to the last journalism class of the semester, there was thunder and lightning.

Students seemed to be in high spirits.

And our friend Ramari's wife Sabita and son Ruchon have arrived from Nepal. Just in time to enjoy the snow!

  1. Oh my, I don't think Hester wants to be stuck outside in that nasty weather! What a nice fire to cozy up to with a good book, I'm jealous.

  2. Hahaha. That first picture of Hester made my day. I think our cats would have similar expressions of horror/disapproval on their faces. Wasn't that thunder and lightning freaky? I couldn't figure out what was going on at first. Pretty cool, though.

  3. I have always loved the first big snow of the season, only of course if I can stay home in a house with electricity to enjoy it! Love the picture of Hester letting herself in. I can't tell whether that is a look of desperation to escape the snow or just her face squeezing through the door. Butter now lets himself out at will since our door latch broke. He met Meghan at her bus door in my absence the other day.

  4. I love the fire, Mattyenlou, but I usually just peruse Facebook or Slate instead of a book! Yeah, seems like lots of people were talking about that thunderstorm; it was unusual. I think Hester was both desperate to get out of the snow and inside and I wasn't helping, fumbling with the camera.
