Christmas night we went to see "Avatar" in 3D at Cinemark in Hadley. Trouble is, if your vision is not 100 percent, the glasses may not work, we discovered. Nicky, who hasn't filled his new glasses prescription, and Brian couldn't see the 3D effects. I'd have to give "Avatar" a thumbs up, although I usually don't like fantasy or action movies. The 3D forest scenes are enchanting.
Christmas Eve with friends before we did a little salsa dancing.

Yes my regular glasses are broken and dollar store glasses no longer make distant vision crisp for me, and I thought that might be it. I'll try it again when I get my glasses fixed. But I also see (googling) that a small % of people (5-12%) can have binocular vision problems that interfere with 3D movies. I could see letters stand out but most of Avatar in 3D just looked like a 2D with only some stuff "up front" looking close while depth scenes were not too impressive at all really... they say some additional lenses or exercises can help...
ReplyDeleteKelly got one from her friend. Apparently, there's no stopping this fashion-abomination...
