Gazette team Trivia Bee 2008, Oct. 30.
The Gazette team still hasn't recaptured the title of Amherst Education Foundation Trivia Bee champs we won in 2004. Among the questions we missed were 1) How old was Chelsea Clinton when the Clintons moved to the White House? Twelve. (We said 11.) 2) What do the five rings in the Olympics logo stand for? The five continents. 3) What was the password to open the vault (or something, I can't remember exactly) in The Da Vinci Code? Apple. 4) What was the name of the Three Stooges movie about King Tut?
"We Want Our Mummy."
We won a costume contest prize for my Sarah Palin look.
State Rep. Ellen Story is the MC. Here, she makes sure the crowd doesn't get out of hand during a spirited disagreement over the name of the villain in the movie "Halloween."
Selectwoman Stephanie O'Keeffe, one of Goldilocks and the three bears.

I got a beautiful birthday cake from Greggory's Pastry Shop in Hadley at work today, even though my birthday was Sept. 19. The office tradition is to surprise people with a birthday cake when they least expect it.
Now that I know about your office tradition I understand why Noah wished you a belated HB.
ReplyDeleteJust looking at the cake you received makes my mouth water.
"Momma"
Five days to election day. But two months plus a few days until Bush is "disposed" from the White House.
Oops -- dispossessed. I better get to bed, my brain is asleep already.
ReplyDeleteHey kid, Happy Birthday!
