What a week of crowd-pleasing activity downtown with the housemoving on Tuesday and, tonight, the lighting of the Merry Maple, probably one of Amherst's most beloved annual traditions. The Middle School Choir sings, then the UMass Band marches up Pleasant Street followed by Santa in a fire truck. The holidays are truly upon us now.

That looked like fun. You could just feel the festivity in the air. Good video, and nice shot going right across the front of the truck and under the cherry picker!
