Magical Mystery Tour

Another beautiful day.

My brothers Eddie and Billy are in town, and Ed said he would take us on a magical mystery tour. (Billy said it felt more like "Blair Witch Project," the time we got lost in the woods.) We start in Holyoke at his mother-in-law's house. Joey, Ed's dog is particularly fond of Brian.

We stop in Hinsdale to see Edith Rasch, who turned 77 a few days ago, a longtime friend of the family. Then to Dalton to see my dad's old office, Pittsfield, to visit our old house and to Mazzeo's Restaurant, an excellent Italian restaurant serving homemade pasta in Pittsfield, co-owned by Ed's friend Mike Mazzeo. Got directions there to the Hilltop, a bar in Plainfield, owned by Ed's friend Ron Boody.

Ron Boody gives us a tour of the Hilltop where he has lovingly done all the tile and woodwork. He shows us the women's room, which he says he gets the most compliments on. Very nice.

Started the day with a jog and ran by these shoes across the street from Wildwood Elementary School.

  1. What a wonderful tour about western mass with friends and family on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. As my friend said, now the thanks is over and its time to start the giving.
