Around Amherst's environmental consultant getting ready to work.
The Hollywood screenwriters' strike is going to have a major affect on Brian, if NYTimes columnist David Carr is right. Carr says Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" and Stephen Colbert's "The Colbert Report" rely on dozens of writers and will immediately begin showing reruns. It could have repercussions on the presidential election, Carr says, since the two shows are many younger viewers' main source of news.
Brian, for one, LIVES for their shows, whereas I rarely see them, because they're on so late.
Besides being the main night person in the house, Brian's also the main cat person, an inclination he obviously inherited from his late mother, who inherited it, evidently, from her father, the Rev. Raymond Fritz, a Congregationalist minister. Here are some of his photos, which he would have been taking in the 1920's. He would have been a cat (or dog) blogger, no doubt.
Oh! that's why the Daily Show is a rerun. I get the news from lots of sources but nobody takes the time to unspin it and make it so funny as Jon Stewert.
ReplyDeleteWell it's a good thing Amherst Town Meeting is back in session. It doesn't get any funnier than that.
